Publications, Call for Papers and Submission Guidelines

Deadline for submission of abstracts extended till October 5, 2012!

Thank you for your interest to the IITE-2012 International Conference “ICT in Education: Pedagogy, Educational Resources and Quality Assurance”. The main conference programme will include plenary, parallel and poster sessions. Speakers have been invited for the plenary sessions. Speakers for thematic and poster sessions will be selected on the basis of abstracts submitted in response to this call for papers. You may submit your contribution to the thematic sessions:

  1. ICT-Integrated Pedagogy and Learning Methodologies
  2. E-Learning, Open and Distance Education
  3. Teacher ICT Competency and Professional Development

or to poster sessions.

The following criteria will be used to select papers: the quality of research, the originality of the work, compliance with the conference topics and geographical representation of the speakers. Poster submissions are reviewed by the Programme Committee via the same procedure as papers.

The guidelines below will help you prepare your abstract/paper and presentation.

Abstract submission

Extended abstracts (up to 1500 words) should reach the organizers to be considered for inclusion in the conference programme. All topics are open for contribution. Abstracts will be published before the conference. Abstracts are accepted in English and Russian and must be submitted in electronic form according to the submission guidelines. Participants are requested to submit abstracts by e-mail to iite2012@unesco.org. Deadline for submission of abstracts extended till October 5, 2012.

Notification of authors

The authors of selected papers will be notified by October 15, 2012. The time allotted for your presentation will depend on the size and content of your paper. For accepted papers and posters, at least one author must register for the conference and present the work. If no author attends the Conference, the accepted work will be withdrawn from the programme and the proceedings.

Presentation guidelines

Presentation should be prepared in PowerPoint format and submitted in advance to make the necessary arrangements for downloading your file onto the computer in the conference room. The number of slides may vary from 10 to 20 depending on the time allotted for the presentation, but should not exceed 20. Please submit your PowerPoint presentation by e-mail to iite2012@unesco.org. Deadline for submission of presentations is November 1, 2012. Speakers are also asked to bring a copy of their presentations on a CD or USB memory stick.

Paper submission

Accepted papers will be presented at the conference in talks and posters will be presented at a poster session; both will appear in the conference proceedings published after the Conference. All contributions must be original, should not have been published elsewhere and should not be intended to be published elsewhere during the review period. Papers are accepted in English and must be submitted in electronic form. Please note that the required paper length is eight pages (up to 2000 words). The papers should be formatted according to the template below (A4, 20 mm margins, 1.5 line spacing, font: Arial bold 14 for the title, Arial bold 12 for the authors name and section titles, Arial 12 for the text body, Arial 10 for organization, country, captions and references).  Please submit your paper by e-mail to iite2012@unesco.org. Deadline for submission of papers is December 15, 2012.

Publication

Accepted papers will be included in the IITE-2012 International Conference Proceedings. All contributions must be original, should not have been published elsewhere and should not be intended to be published elsewhere during the review period. Papers are accepted in English and Russian and must be submitted in electronic form according to the submission guidelines.
