H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark became a Patron of UNFPA in 2010. She has also served as a member of the High-Level Task Force on the International Conference on Population and Development, undertaken field visits to UNFPA programmes across five regions, and participated in numerous events to promote the health and rights of women and girls.

Ashley Judd

Acclaimed humanitarian, writer and actor Ashley Judd is fiercely committed to social justice. In particular, she believes that the sexual and reproductive health of girls and women, including choosing if, when and how many children to have, is at the heart of poverty eradication and sustainable development.

Catarina Furtado

Catarina Furtado is one of Portugal’s best-loved television personalities and celebrities. She is well-known as a TV, theater and film actress, as well as an author, a TV-host, a journalist and a documentary filmmaker. In 2000, Ms. Furtado was appointed UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Anan. 

Princess Basma Bint Talal

Princess Basma is commited to furthering the aims of the Jordanian National Population Commission (NPC). She actively supports the development and implementation of the National Population Programme, including Jordan’s first National Population Strategy. Princess Basma became a member of the Board of Trustees of the United States-based Population Council in 1996.

Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck

Over the years, Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck of Bhutan has been actively involved in promoting social causes in her country, including health, education and family issues.
