Home > EDISCA - Contemporary Ballet

Performed by The EDISCA Troupe and choreographed by Dora Isabel do Araůjo Andrade
21/11/2002 - This ballet was inspired by the culture and inhabitants of north-east Brazil and is a metaphor on the duality between the material and spiritual life. “Two Seasons” mixes traditions and surrealism evoking the passage from one life to another.

The troupe EDISCA consists of thirty five dancers aged from eight to eighteen years originating from the favelas of Fortaleza. Already four ballets have been created achieving great success and many international prizes.
