Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Latin America
The functions of the Centre are: (i) to create forums for discussion and exchange; (ii) to gather, organize and disseminate information in the field of the intangible cultural heritage; (iii) to establish networks for the exchange of information, specialists and cultural workers; (iv) to foster cooperation among institutions; (v) to maintain a link with the Intergovernmental Committee; (vi) to promote regional training and capacity-building activities at the request of the participating States; (vii) to promote regional activities to raise awareness concerning enhancement of the intangible cultural heritage through the media.
