@UNESCO - Children at School

Improving education at all levels is the key to an inclusive and sustainable education development and this encompasses diverse dimensions. UNESCO strives for quality improvement through renovating the teacher education and training system, improving teachers' quality and teacher status, reform and adaptation of curriculum at all levels. UNESCO, in collaboration with national and international partners, assists the MoEYS in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning process, integrating the concept of Education for Sustainable Development in teacher training and curriculum development, promoting gender equality focusing on education for girls and women, female teachers and managers. UNESCO also supports the MoEYS in strengthening HIV/AIDS and school health education both in formal and non-formal settings, targeting children and youth most at risk.
