Art competition for Children with Disabilities – “From Dark to Light” अशक्तता वाले बच्चों के लिए कला प्रतियोगिता - ‘अंधेरे से उजाले की ओर’/ ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’
We believe that every child has the right to be treated with love, respect and dignity. Studies reveal that for children with/without disabilities, participation in art-making activity gives them enormous sense of achievement, self-respect and boosts their confidence. The aim of the competition is to expose children with disabilities to art and recognize their interpretation to art and culture – which would be a new learning experience for them.
The competition would focus on the key themes of UNESCO’s work on Culture, namely:
- Dance and folk art
- Heritage Sites
- Your idea of an ideal city/city you would like to live
- Places that interest you

अशक्तता वाले बच्चों के लिए कला प्रतियोगिता - ‘अंधेरे से उजाले की ओर’/ ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’
हम इसमें यकीन करते हैं कि हरेक बच्चे को इसका अधिकार है कि उसके साथ प्यार, सम्मान और गरिमा से व्यवहार किया जाए. अध्ययनों से यह उजागर हुआ है कि अशक्तताओं वाले या शक्त बच्चों की रचनात्मक गतिविधियों में भागीदारी उन्हें उपलब्धि और आत्म-सम्मान का गहरा बोध कराती है और उनके हौसले को बढ़ाती है. प्रतियोगिता का लक्ष्य अशक्तताओं वाले बच्चों का कला से परिचय कराना और कला और संस्कृति की उनकी व्याख्या की पहचान करना है – जो उनके लिए सीखने का एक नया अनुभव होगा.
प्रतियोगिता में संस्कृति के क्षेत्र में यूनेस्को द्वारा किए जानेवाले काम के मुख्य विषयों पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा, जैसे:
- नृत्य और लोक कला
- धरोहर स्थल
- एक आदर्श शहर की आपकी कल्पना/आप कैसे शहर में रहना पसंद करेंगे
- जगहें जिनमें आपकी रुचि हो
