Questionnaire on raising awareness about intangible cultural heritage:
English|French

At its 3rd session (Istanbul, Turkey, from 4 to 8 November 2008), the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage had an extensive discussion on the visibility of intangible heritage, which is considered a central aspect for safeguarding intangible heritage.

The Committee suggested that the scope of these draft directives should be enlarged to encompass all aspects related to raising awareness about intangible heritage and the Convention at the national and international levels (refer to the annex 2 of the questionnaire), and requested the Secretariat to consult States Parties further on this issue and to prepare a new working document for the 4th session of the Committee.

Submissions should be sent by using preferably the questionnaire (English|French), in one of the working languages of the Committee (English or French), by email to Mr. Fernando Brugman (f.brugman@unesco.org), with a copy to Ms Monique Cissé (m.cisse@unesco.org), no later than 15 May 2009.
