Achieving Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) has become the new goal for the UNCCD, following the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the Sustainable Development Goals and the related decisions taken by country Parties at COP 12 in Ankara. Attaining LDN will significantly contribute to sustainable development through rehabilitation, restoration, conservation and sustainable management of land resources.
