Forum organised to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the First Manned Mission to Space.

International Forum on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space for Science, Education and Culture

On 21 April 2011, an International Forum on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space for Science, Education and Culture was organized by the Melody for Dialogue among Civilizations Association at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. The event coincided with the celebration the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight to outer space. Seven international Astronauts and Cosmonauts (including Valentina Tereshkova, the first Russian woman in the space) as well as a number of well-known Astrophysicists and scientists participated in the Forum.
