As a complement to the current global debate on the preservation of historic urban landscape, Stadsherstel is organizing an international forum entitled Urban Heritage Inc., Public-private partnership meets heritage preservation.

The forum will take place from 31 March until 2 April 2011 in the De Duif Church in Amsterdam. The second day of the forum, Friday 1 April, is an open day for the public. During the forum a parallel youth forum for students and young professionals will also take place, which will be linked to the forum.

Stadsherstel Amsterdam (founded in 1956) is the largest organization in the Netherlands, dedicated to restoring heritage sites, monuments and cultural landmarks.

Stadsherstel is hosting this forum in cooperation with three official partners; the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and the Municipality of Amsterdam. The forum has been established with contributions of Creative Urbans and Non-fiction.
