Description
It is one of the seven areas nucleus of the Reservation of the Mayan Biósfera (RBM), for what National Park was named. To simbolize the biggest extension of Humid Subtropical Forest in Central America. At the present time it is the only natural bridge that allows to connect the mountainous ecosystems of the northeast of Chiapas with the rest of the forest ecosystems and humedales of the low lands of Petén.
