By the end of the first month of work, the international team of experts headed by Professor Carlo Blasi of the University of Florence (Italy) was established to set up the general framework for the safeguarding of Mostar's historical centre and to facilitate the implementation of specific restoration projects of historical monuments and urban planning in this «safeguarded area».

Professor Blasi and his principal partner, the French architect Jean-Louis Taupin, included in their team young specialists from Mostar who had participated in the course. The second objective of the project was also met: To contribute to the training of local young architects and urban planners.
