The meeting will take place at the French National Forestry College, Nancy campus within a broader "International Forestry Week".

Participation in this event is limited to 40 people representing key national and international forest conservation and sustainable development organizations.

As was the case for the meeting in Berastagi in 1998, this experts workshop is expected to provide clear guidance to the on-going development of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre forest programme over the next 5-7 years.

Recommendations and summaries of presentations will be assembled in a publication that will serve as the main reference document for WH forestry matters.
