International Development Cooperation Meeting on Gender and Media & First GAMAG General Assembly

The Global Alliance for Media and Gender (GAMAG) is a global movement to promote gender equality in and through media.

The International Development Cooperation Meeting, that will precede the First GAMAG General Assembly will provide many useful indicators on the future direction of supporting, enabling and financing gender equality in and through the media.

Both events aim to provide a platform for dialogue, and to finally draw an International Development Cooperation Framework on Gender and Media.

International Development Cooperation Meeting on Gender and Media
7-8 December 2015, Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland

The Meeting will open a new paradigm for all stakeholders to work together to achieve gender equality and empowerment of women in and through media and ICTs. It answers to the call for global partnerships as in the Millennium Development Goal, the proposed Sustainable Development Goal. Read more

First General Assembly of Global Alliance on Media and Gender
9-10 December 2015, Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland

Two years after GAMAG’s formation, the First General Assembly will bring together representatives from over 800 member organisations and individuals. It takes place at a time when global partners are finalizing the post 2015 Sustainable Development Goals that will guide the development agenda for the next 15 years. Read more
