 UNESCO Activities of relevance for the International Day of Peace 2007

 Through resolution 55/282, the United Nationals General Assembly designated 21 September as the “International Day of Peace”, inviting Member States, international organizations and civil society to commemorate it each year in an appropriate way. Find out more at the Day's offical website.  

 In addition to the activities of individual UNESCO Field Offices – the Organization  observed this day by organizing a 60 minute round table on  UNESCO's activities to promote peace-building in post-conflict countries.
