International Workshop "Сare, Education & Protection of HIV-Affected Children and Adolescents"


MASHAV (Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation) invites professionals to participate in the International workshop on Psycho-social Care, Support, Education, and Protection of Children and Adolescents Infected and/or Affected by HIV and AIDS. The workshop is organized in cooperation with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education.

The workshop will be held on February 1-18, 2016 at the Golda Meir Mount Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) in Haifa, Israel. 

It is designed for people working in the field of AIDS, including psychologists, educators, caregivers, NGO staff, community, social and health workers, including medical doctors and nurses teacher trainers, or university lecturers aged 30-50. Participants should have relevant academic preparation or equivalent training and at least 5 year working experience with children and adolescents living with or affected by HIV. It is highly recommended that multidisciplinary teams, working with children and adolescents affected by HIV, attend the workshop together.

Application forms and other information may be obtained at the nearest Israeli mission or at MASHAV’s website.

Completed application forms, including the medical form, should be sent to the relevant Israeli mission in the respective country by December 15, 2015.

MASHAV awards a limited number of scholarships. The scholarship covers the cost of the training program, including lectures and field visits, full board accommodation in double rooms (two participants per room), health insurance, and transfers to and from the airport. Airfares and daily allowance are not included in the scholarship.
