New IITE online training course

The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education has launched a new training course on the creation and use of open educational resources.

The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education offers a new course on the creation and use of open educational resources for teachers of higher and secondary schools. This course may also be useful to postgraduates, students, and other users who are interested in new technologies and teaching methods.

Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials licensed under open licenses or available in the public domain, the authors of OER have allowed their free use and repurposing. The term "Open Educational Resources" was coined by the UNESCO Forum on the Impact of Open Courseware for Higher Education in Developing Countries held in 2002.
