Memorandum of Understanding between UNESCO IITE and NRNU MEPhI

On March 25, 2014 the delegation of UNESCO IITE headed by Mr. Badarch, Director of the UNESCO Office in Moscow and UNESCO IITE Director a.i., made a visit to the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (NRNU MEPhI).

The UNESCO IITE delegation visited NRNU MEPhI NanoCenter to make acquainted with its experimental settings, component complexes, and high-technology infrastructure. During the visit much attention was paid to the information component of the educational process, as well as nanotechnology research and industry.

During the working meeting the representatives of UNESCO IITE and NRNU MEPhI discussed the opportunities of the use of information technologies in education. Mr. Badarch presented UNESCO IITE results in promotion of ICT in education. Ms. Vesnaand Mr. Dmitriev, NRNU MEPhI Vice-Chancellors, told about the relevant experience of the University. Mr.Putilov, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics of High Technologies, gave details of the advanced system of information support of educational technologies in engineering economics "INFOMEPhIST". Ms. Dukhanina, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Science Teaching Methodology, reported on the initiatives of cooperation with international organizations, the adoption of best practices and the prospects of establishing a specializedUNESCO Chair at the NRNU MEPhI.

As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding between UNESCO IITE and NRNU MEPhI was signed to formalize the procedure of cooperation between the organizations and the main trends of joint activities in the use of modern information technologies in the educational process.
