UNESCO IITE signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Mongolian University of Science and Technology

On 11 November 2015, the President of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST)) Mr. Baatar Ochirbat visited UNESCO IITE. During the meeting between Mr. Ochirbat and Mr. Khoroshilov, UNESCO IITE Officer-In-Charge, current IITE projects and perspectives for further IITE and MUST collaboration were discussed. It was noted that the long-term relationship of cooperation in the implementation of joint ICT in education projects established in previous years (holding conferences and workshops, setting up Open Educational Resources web portal and creation of online courses based on the IITE materials) have formed a solid foundation for their continuation in the future. An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between UNESCO IITE and MUST in the following areas: improving professional, social and ICT competencies of pedagogical and administrative staff of the Mongolian education system; developing and implementing joint educational programmes and innovative educational technologies, based on ICT-pedagogy integration, including mobile teaching/learning technologies, Open Educational Resources (OER) and massive open on-line courses (MOOC) on ICT application in education for professional development of teachers and other categories of pedagogical staff; organizing joint researches, publications, academic and training events.
