Third International Congress "Personality Education: Standards and Values"

The 3rd International Congress "Personality Education: Standards and Values" held in Moscow on September 24-25, 2015 provided a good opportunity to launch School without Violence guide developed for Russian educators on the basis of UNESCO regional guide on school violence prevention. The Russian guide informs education managers, school administrators and teachers about causes of violence and suggests practical solutions. 

The Congress brought together over 100 participants from all over Russia, Armenia, Belarus and Bulgaria to discuss strategies that would facilitate multicultural education, violence and intolerance prevention in education settings and promote healthy and safe living.

The Congress was organized by UNESCO IITE's partners, the Child Development Research Centre of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Education Organizers non-governmental organization. UNESCO IITE staff Tigran Yepoyan, Regional HIV Advisor, and Yulia Plakhutina, project manager, presented UNESCO’s resources for HIV and health education including ICT-based tools and solutions.
