A new publication "Open Educational Resources in France: Overview, Perspectives and Recommendations" (authored by SophieTouzé, researcher of the University of Lyon) was released in English and in French in the framework of the UNESCO IITE Project "Open Educational Resources in non-English speaking countries". The analytical review contains characteristics of the national educational system in the French Republic and the description of the State policies and initiatives in the field of open education. The publication offers recommendations for promoting OER and provides an overview of the largest projects and repositories of open educational resources implemented in France. The book is addressed to a wide audience of researchers and practitioners interested in investigation of the opportunities for OER production and use.
