IITE took part in the Forum YEES-2012

On 15 May 2012 the Open University of Skolkovo and the Moscow Technological Institute held YEES 2012 (Your Education Enables Success), organized in cooperation with Cisco Company at the Moscow Polytechnic Museum. Dedicated to issues of modern education, the forum was held in Moscow for the third consecutive year and became a platform for discussions and sharing experiences, presentation of best practices in the sphere of education, research business and innovative educational technologies. The highlight of the Forum-2012 was a discussion of future education and demonstration of impact of modern technologies on fundamental transformation of the educational process. The target audience of the forum were leaders in educational sphere, representatives of public and private (commercial) educational institutions, experts in the field of personnel training and development, representatives of consulting and training companies, experts in the field of ICTs in education, developers of content, multimedia and software solutions for education, entrepreneurs and startupers, venture investors, business angels, representatives of investment funds.

Within the framework of the forum, there have been organized works of four thematic sections. Prof. A. Khoroshilov, National Programme Officer of UNESCO IITE, was a moderator of the section "Standards in Education. Modern Challenges". He also made a presentation on the issue of harmonization of professional, national and international educational standards in the sphere of ICTs, one possible solution of which is to use models of the key competencies of the Information Society and UNESCO recommendations to the ICT competency framework for teachers. Besides Prof. Alexander Uvarov, UNESCO IITE Expert on ICT-competency made a speech on the practical issues of UNESCO ICT-CFT application in Russia.

Discussions with participation of heads of educational institutions and leading experts in the field of ICTs in education, which took place in the framework of the event, allowed the forum participants to get a clear understanding of trends in promotion of educational reforms, experiences and perspectives of introduction of modern information and educational technologies into practice.
