IITE at EDEN-2012 Conference

The International Conference “Open Learning Generations: Closing the gap from generation Y to the mature lifelong learners” organized by the European Distance and E-learning Network (EDEN) was held on June 6-9, 2012 in Porto, Portugal. The Conference approached the key questions of learning methodology and technology focusing on the “Open learning generations”, the contexts of socially significant target groups: junior and senior e-learners. Learning cultures, technology use patterns, and new approaches in pedagogy and andragogy that respond to them were discussed. The changing technology dimension: development of networking tools, new platforms and standards, and interoperability questions, were addressed from the perspective of different groups of users.
