Welcome to the Global Observatory of Recognition, Validation and Accreditation. The Global Observatory of Recognition, Validation and Accreditation (RVA) brings together recent RVA developments that aim to contribute to policy and practice as part of UNESCO’s commitment to promoting lifelong learning for all.

Recognizing non-formal and informal learning

Through the Global Observatory of RVA, the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) collects and disseminates best practices at different stages of the development of RVA systems. The Global Observatory of RVA provides easy access to information on RVA in UNESCO Member States. It invites policymakers, national experts, practitioners and all those with a professional interest in RVA to share and exchange their country’s RVA models.

The Global Observatory of Recognition, Validation and Accreditation plays a major role in implementing the UNESCO Guidelines for the Recognition, Validation and Accreditation of the Outcomes of Non-formal and Informal Learning.
