Main objectives and expected results: The MBRC had the following objectives: • Undertaking scientific research in the field of fish resources, and developing the technical expertise necessary to fulfill its aims and programmes. • Conducting marine surveys and taxonomic studies of biological populations existing in both the marine and lake waters. • Publishing the results of research and studies undertaken by the Centre, and producing scientific documentaries in this respect. • Cooperating with other relevant People's Committees and organizations in order to put the results of the researches and studies into scientific applications.
