The Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Tsunami and Other Coastal Hazards Warning System for the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions (ICG/CARIBE EWS) was established in 2005, and is currently comprised of 32 Member States and 16 territories in the Caribbean and Adjacent regions territories) who have officially designated Tsunami National Contacts (TNC) and/or Tsunami Warning Focal Points (TWFP). The ICG/CARIBE EWS coordinates international comprehensive tsunami mitigation programmes, tsunami warning and emergency response, and preparedness.
