Alix Wurdak

Associate Communications and Publications Officer

Alix Wurdak works as Publications and Communications Focal Point at UNESCO-UNEVOC. She is responsible for the coordination of all publications, information and communication activities of UNESCO-UNEVOC. Her tasks include developing content for the website and coordinating the Centre’s online services and publication processes. She is also the coordinator for Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States and North America in the worldwide UNEVOC Network.

Before joining UNESCO-UNEVOC in 2008, Alix worked at the French-German news channel ARTE in Paris (France), the Goethe-Institut in Karachi (Pakistan) and as translator, editor and cultural events manager. Alix studied French and English (MA) at St Andrews University (UK) and Sorbonne Paris IV (France), and publishing in Berlin (Germany). She is currently enrolled in the Executive Master of Public Administration at Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. A native German, she is fluent in German, English and French, and also speaks Spanish and Dutch.
