Database on Human Rights Instruments in Asia and the Pacific

The UNESCO Office in Bangkok recently launched an online database on Human Rights instruments for the benefit of UNESCO partners working to promote Human Rights principles and practices in the Asia-Pacific region. The service also includes references to Human Rights in the area of information and communication .
The main objective of the database is to facilitate easy access to basic information and reference material on human rights provisions in all national constitutions of UNESCO's Asia and Pacific Member States, the status of core international human rights conventions and the public stated reservations hereto, nationally-instituted Human Rights Commissions/Committees, and some factual data on each member country. The database also includes a list of human rights organisations in the Asia-Pacific region.
