For UNESCO sharing of knowledge is an essential part of its constitutional mandate. Through its various portals, UNESCO offers, therefore, a wide array of services to members of professional communities in the area of communication and information.
The UNESCO Libraries Portal gives access to websites of library institutions around the world. It serves as an international gateway to information for librarians and library users and international co-operation in this area.
