UNESCO Office in Tehran recruits Adviser for Communication and Information

A post of Adviser for Communication and Information is presently open for recruitment at UNESCO Office in Tehran. The major responsibility of this post is to serve as UNESCO Adviser for Communication and Information in the following countries covered by the UNESCO Office Tehran: Afghanistan, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
More particularly, the incumbent of the post will have to: analyze, evaluate and contribute to the development of Sector wide approaches and strategies for harnessing the potential of information and communication for development in cluster countries, in consultation with relevant stakeholders; plan and implement programme activities included in the UNESCO Programme and Budget; develop new project options and proposals to be funded by contributions received for the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) and the Information for All Programme (IFAP).

The candidates must have advanced university degree in Communication, Information management or related field and four to seven years of working experience in the area of communication and/or information of which preferably two years acquired at the international level.
