The Thai-Austrian Technical College was officially established under the Thai-Austrian Agreement in 1970 as Sattahip Technical School. It was up-graded to "Thai-Austrian Technical College" on August 2, 1990. The Austrian Government provides expert training and equipment. Thailand, for its part, supplied land and buildings.
Objectives of the College are to:
- produce skilled workers according to the needs of industries, particularly in the Eastern region.
- train workers to meet national standards in many professional standards in many professional disciplines so that qualified students may develop into responsible thinking workers.
- develop vocational education programmes of the college commensurate with the industrial development within the Eastern region.
