At the start of 2010, International Year of Biodiversity, UNESCO is holding an inaugural event (21-22 January) and a scientific conference (25-29 January) at Headquarters. These activities aim to present what we know about biodiversity and raise awareness of the alarming rate of biodiversity loss.
