An expert meeting on mobile media and development will take place at UNESCO Headquarters on 17 and 18 December 2009.
The objective of this meeting will be to obtain suggestions and advices on mobile media matters that could be included in UNESCO’s biennial Programme. The range of topics will be from innovative use of mobile in news media to mobile applications for development. The scope will also be expanded to the field of education, culture and communication.

This meeting will be a round-table with around twenty experts (representative of mobile industries, practitioners of mobile media in development and broadcasters) from developing and developed countries.
