The Technological School Central Technical Institute is a public institution of higher education of the National Order, under the Ministry of National Education.
Actually, the Institution has 18 higher education programs with qualified registration and an Industrial Technical Baccalaureate program.
Mission
Our mission is to form creative and competent people in the technical, technological and engineering areas, capables of solving problems through applied research.
Objectives
We will be recognized as a competitive educational institution of technical training, technology and engineering, developing skills in the students in such way that they can bring innovation and change at industrial, social and environmental levels
Regular Tasks

In addition to the general objectives set out in Title I, Chapter II of Law 30 of 1992 and article 5 of the General Education Law (Act 115 of 1994), are specific objectives and taks of the Central Technical Institute:
a. Contribute to the development, productivity and competitiveness of the country through the training of professionals in the areas of the Science, the Technic and the Technology.
b. Provide a public service of higher education in line with the principles, rights and duties required by the laws of the Republic.
c. Promote academic excellence at the different educational levels that the ETITC offers. The academic programs are credited under the National Accreditation System.
d. Articulate, the interrelationship of the programms of the ETITC with national levels of Primary and secondary school and Higher Education through different mechanisms, and academic procedures to increase the coverage, system efficiency, relevance and equity programs to provide access to knowledge to the poorest sectors of the population.
e. Provide extension and outreach programs that contribute to the personal promotion, continuing education, community development and technological and industrial development of the country.
f. Develope research, Innovation, Management and Technology Transfer programs and projects, under the SIN, as a basis for the solution of problems of the social, environmental and industrial sectors of the country, and for the generation of own technologies.
g. Provide support, advice and specialized consulting to industry and various social sectors, preserving academic and research autonomy.
h. Develope in Teachers high professional pedagogical and didactic skills, as leaders and facilitators of the teaching and learning processes.
i. Create teaching and learning environments equipped with appropriate technologies that support the development of creativity, research, innovation and technological development and pedagogical.
j. Encourage and strengthen the academic community (administrators, teachers, students, alumni and administrators) and promote their interaction with national and international counterparts.
