7 January 2015 Supporting Social Partnership in VET in Georgia This paper is prepared within the ETF project “Supporting Social Partnership in VET in Georgia”. Its objective is to provide guidance to the tripartite social partnership in Georgia, i.e. the government and the employers’ and workers’ organisations, on ways and measures to substantially improve social dialogue in VET in Georgia at wider national level, as well as at sector and local levels. 16 December 2014 Green Cities – Green Industries – Green Jobs More and more people live in urban areas. Cities have to find solutions to challenges such as rising traffic and increasing waste. UNEVOC Network member GIZ and the city of Magdeburg invited partners from around the world to discuss challenges and opportunities of green cities and industries, and what this means for the creation of green jobs. 12 December 2014 New country reports in World TVET Database New country reports have been published for Benin, Cambodia, Chad, Iraq, Latvia, Lithuania, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Qatar, South Africa, Uganda and USA. UNESCO-UNEVOC continues to expand the World TVET Database and more country reports will be available soon. (more)

23 September 2014 7th BIBB Congress on Structuring Vocational Education and Training in a more Attractive Way – Facilitating Greater Permeability UNESCO-UNEVOC participated in the 7th BIBB Congress on “Structuring Vocational Education and Training in a more Attractive Way – Facilitating Greater Permeability” held in Berlin, Germany on 18 and 19 September 2014. Among the 800 participants were representatives from various levels of government, social partners, secondary schools, higher education and industry. (more)
