The power to communicate: Second dossier of the jeunessearabe.info portal
jeunessearabe.info
The second dossier prepared by the jeunessearabe.info portal is dedicated to the topic 'The Power to communicate'. This topic was chosen to underline the importance of communication and dialogue among young people of the Arab region and highlights the opportunities to work together through the Internet.
The online dossier, compiled by ATARS'NET (the Tunisian association for assistance to scientific research on the Internet), aims at encouraging young people to make use of discussion forums and to exchange opinions and collaborate on subjects related to UNESCO and ISESCO’s domains of competence.

The opportunities offered by communication and electronic forums as well as issues concerning the digital divide are some of the subjects that will be discussed. Young people and associations are invited to take part in this forum and to express themselves in Arabic and French!

Created in 2004 within the framework of a joint programming initiative between UNESCO and ISESCO the jeunessearabe.info portal is designed to cater to the information needs of youth and youth associations in the Arab world. This portal is part of the INFOYOUTH programme (www.infoyouth.org), a worldwide information network on youth issues.
