Training Course for Museolog Software Users in Almaty

A two-day training course for users of Museolog, a software for inputting and editing museum catalogues through intuitive graphical interfaces with forms and menus, will take place at the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty on 4 and 5 March 2004.
Museolog was developed by EUROCLID within the UNESCO HeritageNet, a network of heritage institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It offers the following functions:

  • Creation of a record across several interactive sessions, with the possibility to save non-validated, incomplete records for future completion,

  • Managing objects movements and restoration work,

  • Searching and selecting records,

  • Printing records,

  • Managing images (digital photographs),

  • Saving and archiving the database,

  • Exporting data,

  • Managing thesauri and authority lists.
