Supernumerary contracts are temporary in nature and can only be granted at Headquarters for a limited duration ranging from 1 day to a maximum period of 6 months. They are generally used to provide additional workforce for:
Supernumerary contracts are used to :
- assist in dealing with peak workloads, emergencies;
- replace prolonged absence of regular staff
The tasks performed by supernumeraries can be of Professional or General Service levels.
