Temporary appointments
A temporary appointment is an appointment of a minimum of 6 months (normally) up to 12 months.
Temporary appointments are used to:
- assist in dealing with peak workloads;
- carry out specific short-term activities which cannot be carried out by staff in established posts;
- replace prolonged absence of regular staff.
