UNESCO’s activities in communication and information in Africa

UNESCO cooperates with its Member States in Africa in the area of communication and information
  • In collaboration with Rhodes University’s School of Journalism and Media Studies (South Africa) and the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme de Lille (ESJ, Graduate School of Journalism in France), UNESCO has identified and catalogued up-to-date information on ninety-six journalism teaching institutions across the African continent, and set up crucial criteria and indicators for defining potential institutional excellence.
