The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (an autonomous body) was established in 1982, to incorporate the various educational facilities that had been created to fill the need for technical and vocational training in Kuwait.
The main objective of PAAET is to supply the labour market with a national, technically skilled work force in the numbers that could meet the development needs of the country.

In order to achieve its objective, PAAET offers a wide range of educational and training programmes of technical and vocational nature. These programmes are consisting of two categories of training programmes: regularly scheduled, open-registration programmes while the other category is special courses, which are developed at client request. Today, PAAET is larger than ever.
PAAET also conducts in-service training, community service and continuing education programmes. All such educational services are offered thoughts its colleges, institutes and training centres.
- There are currently more than 39,000 students enrolled at the PAAET colleges and institutes.

- Number of training staff in the institutes: 1,141
Mission
PAAET mission: Contribute effectively to restore balance to the process of social and economic development in general and rebalancing the labor market in the State of Kuwait in particular.
Objectives
To lead the TVET sector in the country, and supervise the public and private TVET institutions to fulfill their role in the process of social and economic development.
Regular Tasks
