PACIFIC - Palau Activities

Commencement Activities

The Palau National Commission for UNESCO endorsed the proposal to be the start-up country for Small Islands Voice in the Pacific Ocean on 13.02.02. Ms. Gillian Cambers, UNESCO consultant, and Mr. Hans Thulstrup, Regional Science Adviser with the UNESCO Office for the Pacific States, visited the country from 23rd February - 2nd March 2002 to meet with individuals, organisations and the media, and to lay the groundwork for the initiative. During this visit, meetings were held with persons from the following organisations:
