The Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE) is a world-class workforce development organization that responds quickly to the needs of public and private clients and sponsors. As part of the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE) at The Ohio State University (OSU), CETE draws on topranked educator preparation programs and the latest research-based practices. CETE staff members have expertise in standards, curriculum and instruction, assessment, evaluation, professional development, and international initiatives.
Mission
CETE provides services to advance education and workforce development initiatives that produce workers who meet the demands of a global economy.

To be the preeminent resource for meeting the educational challenges of developing the global workforce.
Regular Tasks
CETE collaborates with its diverse network of clients and sponsors, partners, and subject matter experts to facilitate workshops, synthesize information, provide technical assistance, and create customized solutions for workforce development.

Module competencies include Develop Performance Objectives, Develop a Lesson Plan, Demonstrate a Manipulative Skill, Direct Student Laboratory Experience, & Assess Student Performance: Skills. Many others are to be developed. These modules have been researched, developed, field tested and proven effective. They are best used in a blended approach and require the actual demonstration of performance in an actual teaching situation as evidence of achieving competence. There is a reasonable charge of $75 US for the five modules for four months of student access. ( more) |
