CDS/ISIS database software

UNESCO and Information processing tools

How to install a new CDS/ISIS Database on the Javaisis Server 3.5 beta 1:
  • Locate the database files with extension .iso .fdt .fst .pft .stw and copy them in a new folder on the server machine (no matter where the folder is).

Note: The pft file must be the original CDS/ISIS one without Javaisis 3.0 modifications (for information, Javaisis 3.0 required the first row of the format to start with 'mfn='mfn/,).

  • Start the JavaISIS Server.
  • Type 'add'
  • Locate your iso file.
  • Enter the database name. Caution: the name must be EQUAL to the name of the .fdt .fst .stw and .pft files !!
  • Enter the database description.
  • Select the encoding type. Example: Cp850 (Latin 1) or Cp1250 (Latin2)
  • Save and type "exit" to shutdown server.
