Creativity
workshops for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds
Within the
framework of such special projects designed to foster creativity, UNESCO has
financed workshops for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the
Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa and Côte d'Ivoire. These
workshops or courses, organized either under the country's educational system or
under schemes operated by municipal authorities or national NGOs, were aimed at
enabling young people to become acquainted with the techniques of artistic
creation in the different fields: visual arts, music and performing arts. More
