The objective of this paper is to present education for all (EFA) in the context of the internationally agreed strategy aimed at achieving the international development goal of reducing the proportion of people living in extreme poverty by at least one half by 2015. Village solaire pilote d'Ampasina Maningory
Dans le cadre du projet Village solaire d'Ampasina Marningory, il est prévu d'équiper les Sites communautaires de systèmes photovoltaïques. Il s'agit de l'électrification de la Mairie, l'Ecole Primaire Publique (EPP), le Collège d'Enseignement Général (CEG), et d'éclairage public, Le Centre de Santé de Base (CSB) étant déjà équipé de 8 points lumineux, il est prévu de l'équiper d'un réfrigérateur adapté à la conservation des vaccins et de médicaments. Par ailleurs, une des lampes qui se trouve dans la salle d'hospitalisation sera mise au logement du médecin situé à 60m. Plus >>>

Opportunities for international interdisciplinary research
The Theoretical Nuclear/Particle Physics community interdisciplinary sub-field is rather new and small. As it is new, opportunities for LDC scientists to participate in frontier science are greater. There are examples of this already happening; the initial scientific results were presented to the Workshop and demonstrated that LDC scientists are among the leaders in this cross-disciplinary field. Creativity workshops for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds
Within the framework of such special projects designed to foster creativity, UNESCO has financed workshops for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa and Côte d'Ivoire. These workshops or courses, organized either under the country's educational system or under schemes operated by municipal authorities or national NGOs, were aimed at enabling young people to become acquainted with the techniques of artistic creation in the different fields: visual arts, music and performing arts. More >>>

This is a regional co-ordinating and monitoring body aiming to develop a network of experts and research, training and information institutions concerning the cultural dimensions of development, and to promote the change in approach that will be required of all stakeholders in dealing with issues. International Fund for the Promotion of Culture Bursaries for Artists
the UNESCO-ASCHBERG Bursaries for Artists programme! Established in 1994, this programme aims to promote the professional growth of young artists in different disciplines, mainly by providing opportunities for further training in specialised institutions. The programme is managed by UNESCO’s International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC) and is based on the Fund’s co-operation with a large network of international partner institutions.
