Conference of Parties

The Conference of Parties is the plenary and supreme body of this Convention.
The Conference of Parties shall meet in ordinary session every two years, as far as possible, in conjunction with the General Conference of UNESCO. It may meet in extraordinary session if it so decides or if the Intergovernmental Committee receives a request to that effect from at least one-third of the Parties. (See also: Article 22)
