The List of literary and philosophical works recommended by the Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire Cheikh Anta Diop, IFAN (University of Dakar).

The List of literary and philosophical works recommended by the Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire Cheikh Anta Diop (Dakar) encompasses:

- African works whose translation into African and non African languages is recommended;

- Non African works whose translation into African languages is recommended.

This list has been drawn up, under the direction of Professor Lilyan Kesteloot, by researchers of the African Languages Centre of the Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire Cheikh Anta Diop, IFAN (University of Dakar).

This list prioritizes epic literature.
