St. Vincent and the Grenadines
 
 

The National Commission was the focal point for the commemoration initiatives undertaken to celebrate World Book and Copyright Day. 
Initiative by the Mass Media
Interactive Media, publishers of the Searchlight Newspaper published a specialized supplement highlighting the works of local authors.

Initiatives by Teachers
Teachers from educational institutions in St. Vincent and the Grenadines sensitized studients about the significance of the Day.  Students were involved in book exchanges, reading contests and other literacy exercises.

Initiative by Librarians
The Kingstown Public Library mounted an exhibition showcasing the works of local authors.  Students and the general public participated in these activities.
