The training programme "Cultural diversity 2030" is looking for a logo

Call for propositions

In the framework of the international U40 training programme "Cultural diversity 2030", 50 young experts from all around the world have met in June 2009 in Paris to explore their vision of cultural diversity for 2030 and discuss about the implementation process of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection and the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

To promote the objectives of the Convention, the U40 group has decided to support projects and activities aiming to sensitize on cultural diversity all over the world.

The group is now launching a call to find a logo. Cartoonists, artists as well as schools of art and design are invited to participate and propose a logo by 30 October 2009.

  • Points of the 1997 Declaration related to this subject:
    - Parag. 18:
(...) New means of private funding, from major foundations to small companies, must be encouraged as supplementary sources of funds, particularly with a view to supporting the creation, the expression and the dissemination of contemporary works.
    - Parag. 19: Public and private funding sources are invited to respond favourably to requests made by artists in developing countries or countries in transition. UNESCO’s intervention is particularly necessary in order to identify and publicize existing opportunities for private funding of the arts worldwide.
