Promoting Intercultural Dialogue for Gulf Countries and Several African Countries

 (Sharjah - United Arab Emirates) 
From 22-10-2007   to   24-10-2007

    Participants from all GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) together with several other Arab and African countries will take part in this training workshop.

    The workshop’s objectives are:

    • to promote cultural pluralism and enhance intercultural understanding;
    • to promote respect for cultural diversity and the UNESCO 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions;
    • to enhance intercultural dialogue among youth;
    • to raise awareness among educators and civil society
